Heraldic Plants

Since I can't exactly post my stories online, I figured I'd share with you all one of my other interests--the art of heraldry.  This is still a work in progress and because of memory issues I probably won't be able to put a whole lot on here, but you'll get a basic idea.

Fleur-de-lis and Oak Leaf

Fleur-de-lis--"Flower of light".  Sign for the sixth son.

Oak Tree/Leaves/Acorns--Antiquity and strength

Quatrefoil and Rose

Quatrefoil/Primrose--Good tidings of Spring

Rose--Hope, joy.  Sign for the seventh son.

Holly and Cinquefoil

Holly--Truth

Cinquefoil--Hope, joy

Double Quatrefoil and Apple

Apple/Pear/Fruit--Freedom, peace

Wheat Sheaf and Trefoil

Wheat sheaf/Garb--Plentifulness, achievement of hope
